*MenACWY vaccine  has replaced the MenC vaccine which was previously administered around 14 years of age

Who needs it?

  • 17/18-year-olds (born between 1/9/1997 and 31/8/1998) who are leaving school in summer 2016, and freshers (born between 1/4/1991 and 31/8/1997) who start university or further education in autumn 2016

How do I get it?

  • It’s easy to get vaccinated. Just call your GP surgery and arrange an appointment – tell them you’re expecting to start university for the first time in the autumn and you need the MenACWY vaccination. You ideally need to have the vaccine at least two weeks before you start university, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time
